    Hip-Hop & R&B Recording in Los Angeles

Most of what gets cut here is hip-hop and R&B, so the room is built for it: beat playback loud, vocals up in the headphones with live effects, punch-ins that keep up with you, and a reference mix bounced before you leave.

    • Live autotune and effects in your headphones
    • Fast punch-in and stacked ad-lib workflow
    • Bring your own beats or work with a producer
    • Rough mix and stems the same night
    • Lounge and star ceiling for your whole team
    • Late-night sessions available every day

    Tracking that keeps your momentum

Our engineers cut hip-hop and R&B every night. That means quick comps, stacked ad-libs and doubles handled without stopping the session, and a headphone mix loud and clean enough to actually perform on. You keep writing; we keep up.

Beats and production in the room

Bring your own beats or work with an in-house producer during your session to build something from scratch. We can also chop, re-arrange or re-key a beat on the spot so the record fits your voice instead of the other way around.

Leave with something you can play

Every session ends with a reference mix and your stems delivered the same night, so you can play the record for your team immediately. Full mixing and mastering is available after, in person or remotely.

    Frequently asked questions

How much does a hip-hop recording session cost in Los Angeles?

Sessions at LV Recording Studio are $60/hr with an engineer or $35/hr without one. Package pricing is available on 4, 6, 8 and 12 hour blocks.

Can I bring my own beats?

Yes. Bring beats on a drive, send them ahead, or pull them up in the session — WAV files give the best results. You can also work with an in-house producer instead.

Do you record with autotune on?

Yes. We run live autotune and effects into your headphones so you hear the record as you cut it, and keep a clean vocal underneath for mixing.

    Can I book a late-night session?

Yes. The studio runs late every day of the week — check open times and book online.
